'Snow White And The Huntsman' Trailer: Kristen Stewart's A Fairy Tale Heroine

Mirror, mirror on the wall, which "Snow White" movie is the greatest of them all? It's still too soon to answer that question, perhaps, but "Snow White and the Huntsman" certainly has the advantage right now thanks to its newly released trailer!

The first official "Snow White and the Huntsman" trailer arrived online today courtesy of Apple, gifting fans with their best look yet at what director Rupert Sanders has in store for his fairy tale starring "Twilight" sensation Kristen Stewart, "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth and "Monster" Oscar winner Charlize Theron. Needless to say, that "Lord of the Rings" vibe that was promised is most certainly on display here.

Kristen stars as the titular fairy tale princess, albeit with some adjustments from the Disney classic you're most familiar with. In short, this is no damsel in distress: Stewart's Snow is a fierce warrior woman who is more than capable of holding her own, thanks to expert training she gleans from the Huntsman (Chris), a highly trained and dangerous man sent to kill the banished Snow on orders from the Evil Queen (Charlize). The Huntsman has a change of heart, however, and sets about mentoring Snow in the art of war to prepare her for her violent struggle against the cruel woman who banished her.

When we spoke with Kristen during MTV First: "Breaking Dawn," the actress admitted her initial reluctance to join the "Snow White" franchise.

"To be totally candid and honest with you, when I first signed on to this thing, the idea of doing another franchise was like, 'Whoa. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it,'" she said. "It was something that was so far outside my realm of thinking. I was so focused on the first one, that I was like, 'Yeah, maybe. Maybe.'

"Now I've got stars in my eyes," she said of her changed tune. "I'm literally over the moon about what I'm doing right now. I can't imagine that I would say ['no']. Yes, I would love to."
