Robert Pattinson Talks Post-'Twilight' Plans, Puppy Love On 'Today,' 'LIVE!'

Robert Pattinson is on the road promoting his heartthrob-heavy flick "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1," and of course he’s bringing his dashing good looks and unflappable sense of humor along for the ride. He stopped by both "Today" and "LIVE! With Regis and Kelly" this morning to talk about his dubious insecurities, post-"Twilight" plans and the new love of his live (it may not be who you think!).

Rob was noticeably shy when looking at himself on camera, and when host Ann Curry called him out on it, he jokingly said, “Yeah, I know. I don’t know what’s happened to me recently. I can’t look in the mirror without crying." (Of course, it doesn't help when Taylor Lautner's tanned six-pack practically get their own nod in the closing credits...)

When talk turned to Rob's post-"Twilight" life and whether he's facing it with relief or anxiety, his response was quite diplomatic. “Both, I mean I wasn’t nervous before, but now I get asked this same question in every interview."

Over on "LIVE! With Regis and Kelly," Rob opened up about who's stolen his heart. "Yeah, I just got a dog for the first time. He was from this horrible shelter a few hours out of Baton Rouge in Louisiana." Rob said that the pup was in a shelter where animals are put down after seven days, and his pup had been there six days. Not only did he save this lucky dog, but he also gave him a look into the life of luxury, saying, "I ended up being on a private jet three days later, and he had his own seat!" In the words of Kelly Ripa, “This dog hit the jackpot!"
