The gossip around the schoolyard is true: Chord Overstreet's Sam Evans will once again walk the halls of McKinley High!
Last week, TVLine reported that Chord was in talks to return to our favorite Fox musical series, "Glee," and today The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the 22-year-old will appear in a multi-episode arc beginning in December.
“We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back,” creator-executive producer Ryan Murphy said in a statement. “So here's an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks—Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!”
With Trouty Mouth's triumphant return, we can't help but wonder what sort of tangled twist the writers have in store for us. After all, Sam can't return to McKinley without consequence (or a little drama). My bet? Instead of rejoining New Directions, Sam will sign on to Shelby's glee club in order to win back ex-GF Mercedes (who looked to be aligning with the newly formed group at the end of "Asian F" earlier this month). As for his comeback solo, may I suggest "Return of the Mack"?
Regardless of plotlines, it looks like Gleeks are resoundingly pleased to welcome Chord back to the fold. (Just check out our poll results for proof!)
