Move over, Kevin Bacon. The next generation's hot high-stepper is none other than Kenny Wormald, who's taking over those famous Sunday shoes in the upcoming remake of "Footloose" (out Friday). To celebrate Kenny's dance into theaters, we've named him this week's Hump Day Hottie!
Check out this dreamy video of Kenny and keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: Born and raised in Boston, this 27-year-old began his dancing days pretty early on, and his career picked up rather quickly from there. By 11, he won the Master Dance of New England, was named Junior Mr. Dance of New England at 13, Teen Dancer of Boston at 14, and by 15, Teen Mr. Dance of New England. Not too shabby.
And now he can add Hump Day Hottie to his resume. "Hump Day Hottie, my favorite day of the week," he replied when we told him about the distinction. "Thank you. I'm honored." When we asked about his fave pick-up line (because everyone hottie needs one, right?), he played it coy. "I have the no-game game," he said. "That's what I do. If you try to come with a line or any of that weird stuff you see on TV it doesn't work. Just be a gentleman."
Where you might have already seen him: If you watch music videos, you've definitely seen him. He's starred in clips for Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey and the Pussycat Dolls, to name a few. By the way, he also toured with Justin Timberlake. As for acting, his first big gig was in "Center Stage: Turn It Up."
Why you should take notice of him now: Did we mention he's the lead in "Footloose," where he moves into a small town and helps everyone rediscover how awesome it is to dance while romancing Julianne Hough? Well, we just did, and that all sounds pretty swoonworthy.
Until next week, when we choose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Kenny by watching the video above!
