‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Soundtrack List Revealed!

Bruno Mars has company.

Hot on the heels of last week’s announcement that the crooner’s “It Will Rain” would be featured on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack comes the album’s full track listing—and there’s plenty to discuss.

For starters, I’m totally in love with director Bill Condon’s nod to the first “Twilight Saga” film with the inclusion of Iron & Wine’s “Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Wedding Version).” Twilighters will recognize that melancholy number from “Twilight”’s prom scene, in which Bella and Edward sway dreamily underneath a glittery gazebo. The only question is whether this redo will play during the actual wedding ceremony or during the reception as the couple’s first dance. Either way, consider me swooning already.

Next, is that much-touted track by a “Breaking Dawn” actor. And, boy, did Bill Condon keep us guessing. In the end, the honors went not to Robert Pattinson or Jackson Rathbone but to Mia Maestro (who plays vampire Carmen) and her “Llovera.” Considering the Argentinian actress has classical vocal training, it’s a wonder we didn’t think of her before!

Another soundtrack surprise? The inclusion of 24-year-old rapper Theophilus London. The Timez Are Weird These Days artist is an unlikely pick for an album heavy with slow jams and indie talents, but I’ll reserve full judgement until I get an earful of his contribution, “Neighbors.”

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack drops November 8, with Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain” making its iTunes debut tomorrow (September 27).
