Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer Join Stripper Flick 'Magic Mike'

"Magic Mike," the cinematic beefcake extravaganza about the secret, sordid world of male strippers, just got even beefier! The latest casting news, courtesy of Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, is that Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer have joined the film's growing stable of man-meat.

Matt B. has been cast as a working boy within the troupe, which also includes Alex Pettyfer and Channing Tatum; Matthew M. will play a retired stripper who owns the club where said gentlemen do their nudie dancing. (Not exactly a reach for an actor who spends 99 percent of his waking hours walking around topless, anyway.)

The indie drama centers on a newbie to the stripper scene (Alex), who gets much-needed guidance from the veteran dancer (Channing) who serves as his mentor—sort of like Obi-Wan Kenobi, but without a light saber. Or pants. And truth-mongers, take note: This is, indeed, a semi-true tale based on Channing's early stint as an exotic dancer in Florida and promises to be a moving story of friendship, redemption, and many, many naked muscular man-torsos. Three guesses as to which one of these things we're most excited about. (Hint: We're already collecting $1 bills to stuff into the movie's banana hammock.)
