'Vampire Diaries' Recruits '7th Heaven' Alum David Gallagher

"7th Heaven"'s David Gallagher is all grown up! You may have spotted him most recently in J.J. Abram's "Super 8," but we bet you know him best as one of the adorable young Camden siblings. And now he's ready to take on a very different role, joining the vampires, werewolves, witches (and now ghosts!) of "The Vampire Diaries" as Ray Sutton, a werewolf who has a not-so-friendly run in with Klaus (Joseph Morgan), TVLine reports.

David will only be sticking around for the first two episodes, and while we're not sure exactly what fate (if any) he meets, we've got a feeling it'll end up with a ripped out heart or something equally gruesome (can't expect anything less from Klaus, right?).

The news comes on the heels of the first "Vampire Diaries" season three set picture (which features Nina Dobrev in some especially eye-catching attire) tweeted by Matt Davis.

No behind-the-scenes pictures of David on set yet (hint, hint "TVD" cast and crew!), but as dedicated "7th Heaven" fans who still remember him as little brother Simon (who, if we remember correctly, went through some awkward bad boy teen years), we're eager to see his transformation into a werewolf.

Are you looking forward to seeing David Gallagher on "Vampire Diaries"?
