What Could Have Been For Chord Overstreet On 'Glee'? The Star Weighs In!

Back in mid-May, when we spoke to "Glee" star Chord Overstreet, he seemed pretty excited about what was going to happen next season on the Fox musical series. Well, cut to this past weekend when it was reported that the man who plays Sam Evans won't be on the show very much at all.

The star has been bumped from playing a big part on the show to possibly playing no part at all, with reports noting that he could appear in about three episodes.Though when we caught up with him less than eight weeks ago at the Fox upfront, he seemed optimistic about what he wanted to see happen next season.

"Next season, season three, I have no clue what to expect, but it'll all be a really big surprise, so I can't wait," he dished, perhaps unaware that the biggest surprise would be that he'd have a diminished role on the show.

Chord even revealed who he'd like to see drop by McKinley High and what songs he'd like to sing in those hallowed halls. "I mean, I'm surprised whenever we have anybody new guest star on the show how well they just fit with the character they're written [to play]. The writers do a good job… I'm just anxious to see who they want to go with as guest stars, if they choose anybody," he said. "I mean, I heard Anne Hathaway, but I'm not too picky.

"There's definitely some songs I would like to sing," he went on. "I'm a huge Elvis fan and rock fan…[maybe] Marvin Gaye, just test the water with a couple of those different artists."
