Jamie Campbell Bower Lands Jace Wayland Role In 'Mortal Instruments' Movie

How many blockbuster YA adaptations can one guy star in?

After months (and months, and months) of speculation, we are pleased to report that the role of Jace Wayland in "City of Bones" has finally been filled: "Breaking Dawn" star Jamie Campbell Bower will wear the Shadowhunter's runes.

Deadline has the news that the "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" actor will star alongside Lily Collins in the Scott Stewart-directed flick based on Cassandra Clare's bestselling "Mortal Instruments" series. The role is a mix of action and romance as Jamie's character Jace is a badass Nephilim (part human, part angel) who fights demons and romances Lily's Clary Fray.

Now, Jamie isn't exactly who I imagined portraying the dreamboat of all dreamboats, and he wasn't your clear front-runner either according to our poll. It was a tight race for the top spot, with Ed Speleers and Leebo Freeman barely edging out Jamie who came in third. (It's also worth noting that my absolute fave for the role, Alex Pettyfer, received only 7 percent of the vote, meaning fans had likely given up on the Hollywood bad boy taking on the role.)

All that being said, I'm willing to give Mr. Campbell Bower a chance to wow me. I mean, you guys, WE FINALLY HAVE OUR JACE!
