We here at MTV wanted to make the wait for some of summer’s most anticipated films a little less excruciating. While we count down to the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, we’re going to treat movie buffs like you to sneak peeks of this season’s hits-to-be, including “The Help,” “The Art of Getting By,” “Fright Night,” “30 Minutes or Less” and “Horrible Bosses.”
Better yet, some of the cast and crew from these films will be on hand to present the never-before-seen footage and will sit down for a Q&A sesh with our own Josh Horowitz. Starting on Monday, May 30 until Friday, June 3, a new clip from one of these flicks will debut on MTV. The chats with the stars will stream live on MTV.com immediately afterward, and you can participate by tweeting your questions to @MTVNews using the hashtag #spw. In other words, don’t make too many evening plans next week!
The week will kick off with a look at “Fright Night,” the remake of the classic ’80s vampire flick, starring Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin. Their co-star Christopher Mintz-Plasse will help present the exclusive look and will talk to MTV about his role as Anton’s nerdy buddy in the film. Colin’s other summer movie, the comedy “Horrible Bosses” will also be part of this week’s celebration and some of the cast from that film will even stop by.
On Tuesday, Emma Roberts, Michael Angarano and Elizabeth Reaser will all debut the clip from their troubled teen drama “The Art of Getting By” and will chat about it alongside their director Gavin Wiesen. On Thursday, Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard will show us a scene from the long-awaited big screen adaptation of the beloved best-seller “The Help” and discuss the flick.
Finally, on Friday the funny fellas of the pizza-order-gone-awry comedy “30 Minutes or Less,” including Aziz Ansari and Jesse Eisenberg (who will appear via a special message for fans), will deliver the goods. We’ve never wanted a holiday weekend to go by faster.
