The "Hunger Games" arena is quickly filling up. Just a day after Amandla Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi were cast as District 11 tributes Rue and Thresh, comes news that Leven Rambin and Jack Quaid will represent District 1 as Glimmer and Marvel.
Leven is no stranger to avid TV watchers who've likely seen her in a slew of roles on shows like "One Tree Hill," "Wizards of Waverly Place" and "All My Children." She's probably most recognizable as Riley Dawson from "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and as Eric Dane's daughter, Sloan Riley, on "Grey's Anatomy." While Leven's co-tribute Jack may be a big-screen newbie, he's no stranger to Hollywood. If his last name sounds familiar, it's because he's the son of actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan.
Much like yesterday's casting news (which was met with overwhelming fan support), I have a feeling Leven and Jack will be well-received by the "Hunger Games" community. Leven, especially. Glimmer is described in Suzanne Collins' novel as a beautiful blond with emerald eyes, which seems to be Leven to a T. I, for one, can't wait to see the 20-year-old actress make a splash in what could be a star-making turn as the ruthless career tribute.
On a bit of a side note, do you think Lionsgate will be releasing daily tribute casting news from here on out? This is two days in a row, after all. We can only hope!
