Taylor Momsen has been on hiatus from "Gossip Girl" for some time now. She took a little time off from the drama of the Upper East Side to pursue her fledgling rock career as the lead singer of the Pretty Reckless.
While she's busy these days promoting the band's debut album, Light Me Up, fans are wondering if the return of Little J will ever happen.
"Well, what I will say, the show is being very, very supportive of the band, and you physically can't do both at the same time," she diplomatically explained. "I can't be on set and then in France touring or wherever. So they're writing me out of story lines and allowing me to tour, and I really have to thank them for that, so you won't see me for a while."
She added that, in fact, right now, no one knows what the fate of the show is. "We don’t even know if we're picked up for the next season," she continued. "So don’t plan on seeing Jenny anytime soon, but in the future who knows?"
Sure, her focus is solely on her music and maybe a "Gossip Girl" cameo here and there, but Taylor wouldn't fully rule out any other acting opportunities that might come her way. "As far as acting outside of that, I want to play music," she said. "I want to play in a band and tour and make records for the rest of my life. It's all I ever wanted to do. Hopefully I can only do that in the future and do it until I'm dead. Who knows what the future will actually hold…who knows? It's certainly not my focus."
