The premiere of "Scream 4" at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles last night brought out half of Young Hollywood. Why? They're all in the movie! All joking aside, our fave stars looked ravishing in red, black and blue as they strutted their stuff on the carpet. Keep reading to see the stylings of Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Lucy Hale and more.
The belles of the ball were undeniably Hayden and Emma in Zac Posen and Burberry, respectively. Though she sometimes has a penchant for dressing old (maybe it's that much older boyfriend’s influence?), Hayden looked youthful and radiant in her bright red dress. The puffed sleeves and gathered waist added a necessary bit of intrigue to this otherwise simple outfit. All in all, a great look for her.
Emma continued to show off her sartorial chops in a blue mini, chunky black strappy heels and a sleek ponytail. All those diagonal stripes are not easy to pull off, but Emma managed to make it work by keeping the rest of the look simple. Well, as simple as Elie Saab heels can be!
Lovely ladies Lucy and Anna Paquin picked sexy LBDs for last night’s premiere. Anna’s Cushnie et Ochs dress was so sophisticated, edgy and alluring that I wanted to rip it right off her back. Paired with silver Brian Atwood pumps, she schooled her younger co-stars on how to really rock a red carpet.
Lucy’s glittery number was typical red carpet fare for her; the deep front slit, however, took this dress from "meh" to "must-have." I could do without the black bows on her strappy silver sandals, but she made up for it with her fabulous hot pink nails and beautiful chandelier earrings.
Aimee Teegarden is popping up on all the red carpets these days, and we’ve got no problem with that if she keeps choosing outfits like this one, rather than that KCAs jumpsuit. In a strapless LWD, champagne platform pumps and red nails, Aimee effortlessly made the transition from small screen actress to big screen star.
"Community" actress Alison Brie pops up in "Scream 4" as Sidney’s (Neve Campbell) publicist. Her LBD with red peep-toes ensemble definitely plays it safe, but it’s a perfect example of a foolproof red carpet look. Of course, if all the stars kept things this simple, we’d have nothing to write about! Speaking of which…
Shenae Grimes. Say it with me now: "Oy!" There’s so much going on here, it’s hard to know where to begin. Perhaps the not-so-cute black heart drawn under her right eye? Shenae’s been sporting that adornment at a few events recently, making me hope it’s not a tattoo. The long-sleeved green top would be cute on a Saturday afternoon with jeans, but here, it made an otherwise cute skirt look frumpy. And those heels? Let’s give her the benefit of the doubt and say that one of her ankle straps fell off in the limo. Come on, Shenae. We know you can do better!
Finally, Kristen Bell’s Vanessa Bruno dress had us on the fence. The royal blue hue suited her perfectly, and it looked great with her patterned heels, but something seemed a little off. Maybe it’s the tight fabric? The cowl neck? The odd little hip cut-outs? There’s something not-so-flattering about this frock, which is disappointing since Kristen is usually a fashion favorite.
