Jackson Rathbone's Band 100 Monkeys To Release New Album And Tour This Summer

Get ready to go bananas, Crushers: Jackson Rathbone's band 100 Monkeys is not only gearing up to release their second full-length album, but they'll be hitting the road this summer to promote it!

It's refreshing to see that the "Twilight" star, despite being busy finishing up the second half of "Breaking Dawn," hasn't neglected his funky, eclectic band that caught our attention in 2009 (he was even kind enough to do a video diary and debuted one of their music videos exclusively for Hollywood Crush!)

The band announced on their official website that their upcoming record, which is aptly titled Liquid Zoo, will be released on June 28, which just so happens to be the same day they head out on tour!

So you'd better learn all the words to all the songs (there's 11 new ones on Liquid Zoo!) before they swing by your city. The band's stops on this tour—which wraps up on August 28 in San Diego—include Cincinnati, Dallas, Anaheim, Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, and Salt Lake City, among other major U.S. cities.

When we spoke to Jackson and his friend/collaborator William Schmidt about the band and their music (particularly on the vid "Kolpix") William praised the group, saying, "[They] have such a fun time performing on stage."

In addition to seeing Jackson up close and personal, you may also bump into one of his oh-so-supportive "Twilight" castmates in the crowd checking out one of the gigs!
