Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth Cast In 'The Hunger Games': What Do You Think?

So the rumors were true. Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth have officially been cast as Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne in Lionsgate's big-screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games."

Just last Friday, Deadline reported that the two actors were the front-runners to star opposite Jennifer Lawrence in the dystopian drama. (I guess it really was too late after all, Austin.)

Josh beat out reported Peeta contenders Hunter Parrish, Lucas Till, Alexander Ludwig and Evan Peters, while Liam bested Gale hopefuls David Henrie, Robbie Amell and Drew Roy for the role.

In a Hollywood Crush poll, Josh was indeed the favorite Peeta tribute with nearly 42 percent of the vote. Hunter Parrish came in second with 35 percent. Liam didn't fare so well in his bracket though. He received just 11 percent of the vote behind Drew Roy (36 percent), "Someone else" (31 percent) and David Henrie (14 percent).
