Robert Pattinson To Present At Academy Of Country Music Awards: Get An Eyeful Of Cowboy Rob!

No, you did not misread that headline, Crushers. Robert Pattinson—he of the “Twilight” Pattinsons—will present alongside “Water for Elephants” co-star Reese Witherspoon at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, airing April 3 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Yeah, we’re scratching our heads too. I mean, we totally get why Reese will be there. She did win an Academy Award for portraying country music icon June Carter Cash in “Walk the Line,” after all. Yet, we have a feeling hip-hop-loving Rob doesn’t know his Randy Travis from his Travis Tritt. But when there’s a movie to promote (“Water for Elephants” out April 22), any publicity (however…odd) is good publicity, right?

Today’s announcement got us wondering what the actor would look like all done up in his finest Texas tuxedo, hence our little Photoshop masterpiece you see here. (Seriously, thank-you notes aren’t necessary.) After you’ve had your fill of cowboy Rob, giddy-up past the jump and vote in our poll to tell us whether you’ll be watching the ACM Awards to catch an eyeful of Robert!
