'Glee' Casting News: Anne Hathaway To Play Kurt's...

Sure, in theory, "Love and Other Drugs" star Anne Hathaway went home empty handed at Sunday night's Golden Globes. But in reality, she walked away with one of the most coveted gigs in Hollywood: a guest stint on "Glee"!

"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy confirmed to E! News that the actress will be coming on the show! Which, as it turns out, was something of a surprise to the cast, including Amber Riley who admitted, "He just said it about 10 minutes ago!"

But the news will no doubt bring the most joy to Golden Globe winner Chris Colfer who said his dream guests included Julie Andrews and—you guessed it—Anne!

Gossip Cop has the added tidbit that Miss Hathaway actually pitched the idea to Ryan on her way to the bathroom during the awards ceremony! "She presented the whole episode," he said. "She came up with the songs."

So what character would Anne like to play? None other than Kurt's lesbian aunt. No news yet on song choices, though Anne did tell MTV News a while back that she'd love to sing "Children Will Listen" from the musical "Into the Woods" if she ever got the chance to appear on the Fox musical series.

If Anne's "Glee" cameo is anything like her "SNL" hosting stints, this will be one can't-miss episode, for sure.
