As the years have passed and our favorite young wizards have grown, there has been plenty of romances blossoming in the hall of Hogwarts. The final film of the “Harry Potter” saga is not only home to the epic final showdown between Harry and his arch nemesis, but it also features the culmination of all those love stories we’ve been watching develop for a decade. There are plenty of scenes we’re looking forward to finally coming to life on the big screen, but our sappy romantic hearts really just can’t wait to see our favorite couples get together onscreen. Here are our most-anticipated moments:
Ginny and Harry reunited
Harry and Ginny already got a chance to share a chaste kiss in “Part 1,” but thanks to the full “Deathly Hallows” trailer, we know there’s going to be some passionate smooching coming up when they reunite in “Part 2.” Hopefully, they get a couple more romantic and sentimental scenes as well, because they’re fated for a long and healthy relationship.
Ron and Hermione’s first kiss
How can it be that Ron and Hermione have been falling for each other since “Chamber of Secrets” and still, eight movies in, haven’t kissed yet? The scene where they finally locked lips in the “Deathly Hallows” novel was one of our favorite “Harry Potter” moments ever, and we have a feeling that “Part 2” is going to give it the same amount of dramatic hoopla that it rightly deserves.
Tonks and Lupin’s big news
Tonk and Lupin had some big news they wanted to share with Harry and friends at the beginning of “Part 1,” but never got a chance because of that scrooge, Mad-Eye Moody. We have a feeling we’re going to find out what that news is early on in “Part 2,” and hopefully Tonks and Lupin get a chance to finally show some of their great relationship on screen, if only to make the end of their storyline that much more poignant.
The sad love story of Severus Snape and Lily Potter
Not to give too much away, but Snape had some secret motivations throughout the entire “Harry Potter” series that may have had something to do with Harry’s mother, Lily. Reading Snape’s memories unfold in the novel nearly broke our hearts, so we hope that their ill-fated relationship gets the same amount of emotional gravity in the film.
Mr. and Mrs. Draco Malfoy
Draco Malfoy isn’t necessarily a character that we care about getting a romantic happily ever after, but boy are we excited to see Malfoy and his wife Astoria in “Part 2”! That’s mostly because Astoria is going to be played by Tom Felton’s real-life girlfriend Jade Olivia, and that’s just about the cutest thing we’ve ever heard. We hope they get a chance to kiss on screen, because that is Draco’s only chance at a romantic moment in these films!
What romance are you most excited to see culminate in “Part 2”?
