He's come a long way since he played Volchok on "The O.C." And being that he's managed to wrangle himself some high-profile gigs lately, one-time "Twilight" star Cam Gigandet has stayed on our radar for quite some time now. So, this week we say ye-haw and make Cam our Hump Day Hottie.
Press play on the video below to see more of Cam, and then keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: 28-year-old Cam is from Tacoma, Wash., where he dabbled in football and almost got serious, until he quit the team in high school. He then moved to California where he attended a bit of college and took some acting lessons.
We don't begrudge the guy a happy personal life, but we are a bit jealous of Dominique Geisendorff for stealing his heart. The two even have a daughter, Everleigh Ray Gigandet.
Where you might have already seen him: Like we said, he killed Marissa on "The O.C." But, we've forgiven him for that. Since then, he's played James in "Twilight" and starred in a number of movies that we've loved, like "Easy A."
Why you should take notice of him now: He stars in this week's high-octane flick, "Kerosene Cowboys." But he has a number of movies we can't wait to see, especially " Burlesque," which is out later this month.
"I am a struggling piano player, and I'm currently working as a bartender at Cher's burlesque club," Cam said of his character in the flick. "Christina and I meet, fall in love, and drama ensues." We know what you're wondering: will he sing in the splashy musical?
"Oh right, a duet with me and Christina?" he said with a laugh. "That would be like Kermit the Frog and Christina. I can't sing." (We guess that's a no!)
Cam has some killer flicks on his docket for 2011, as well, including the vampy "Priest," the Nicolas Cage-Nicole Kidman thriller, "Trespass" and the Leighton Meester-Minka Kelly thriller, "The Roommate."
Until next week, when we chose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Cam by pressing play on the video above!
