With Halloween just around the corner, what kind of a holiday would it be without some "True Blood" scoop? Thankfully, fans of the vampire, werewolf, shapeshifter and all-sorts-of-other-crazy-supernatural-creatures-driven franchise can add a few extra Trubie treats to their Halloween basket this year.
Entertainment Weekly has the first look at five different characters currently under development for season four of "True Blood," a season that allegedly focuses on witches, warlocks and all other sorts of assorted wizardry.

Up first is Marnie, described by EW as "a Z-list palm reader who's painfully aware of what a joke she is — that is, until she comes to be possessed by the spirit of a real witch." Possessions are hardly uncommon on "True Blood," as season two hinged almost entirely on maenad Maryann Forrester's (Michelle Forbes) ability to control the entirety of Bon Temps in a single deadly hive mind state.
Also in the supernatural department is Queen Mab, the leader of a fantasy land that may or may not be the fairy kingdom that Sookie (Anna Paquin) was most likely drawn to in the final episode of season three. But before Sookie starts making friends, she'll first have to deal with Mab's considerable temper.
Of course, Bon Temps isn't just a sanctuary for all things otherworldly. Two "normal" characters joining the new season of "True Blood" include Portia, sister of Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer), and Naomi, an Asian-American cage fighter who gets "hot-'n'-heavy with one of her female competitors." Whoever ends up playing Portia can look forward to some similarly naughty scenes, as prospective actresses allegedly "have to be cool with nude scenes."
Rounding out the list of new characters is Suzanne McKittrick, described as "a 'Real Housewives' type who throws a hootenanny to bond with 'her kind.'" Could she be one of the witches supposedly coming to Bon Temps? Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait a little while to find out!
