If you think being the star of a five-movie, multi-million dollar franchise gives you any pull when it comes to casting your onscreen daughter, well, you’d be wrong. (Then again, that scenario doesn’t really apply to many people.)
According to Kristen Stewart, she and soon-to-be-onscreen hubby Robert Pattinson didn’t have any say in the casting of their half-vampire, half-human daughter in “Breaking Dawn.” In fact, she didn’t know anything about Mackenzie Foy, the actress cast as Renesmee, until “Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon called her.
“[He] was like, ’Wait until you see this kid. If you and Rob had a kid, this would be it,'” Kristen told MTV News. “I was like, ’That’s so weird.’ She just looks like—she sort of looks like Bella. Which is absolutely right. Although the funny thing is she has green eyes, and we both have to wear brown contacts together.”
Though shooting is set to begin in a few short weeks, mother and daughter haven’t actually been introduced. “No, I haven’t met her yet,” Kristen admitted. “That sounds so weird! ’I haven’t met my daughter yet.’ Wow.”
And, just in case you bunch of dirty minds were wondering about the honeymoon scene (um, we were), there will be feathers in the film. “Of course,” Kristen smiled slyly. “Come on. That is important. I don’t know how we would not have that, actually.”
Do you agree with Bill Condon that Mackenzie looks like Kristen and Rob’s daughter?
