‘Lost’ Star Domic Monaghan Calls Kissing Megan Fox In New Eminem Video Just ‘All Right’

Not every actor enjoys kissing on the job. Dominic Monaghan faced multiple challenges while playing Eminem in the rapper’s new music video, “Love the Way You Lie,” premiering tonight at 9PM. Not only did the “Lost” actor – along with Megan Fox – have to portray one of the most notorious and (and tumultuous) relationships of all time, Dominic had to sacrifice his manners and put the moves on a newlywed!

“What is it like kissing Megan Fox? It’s all right,” he joked, before getting serious. “No, I’m just kidding. It’s fine, it’s work. She’s married. I have a lot of respect for marriage.” To avoid any awkwardness during filming, Dominic was blunt with Megan from the very beginning. “[I said] ‘Look, I know that you’re married and I don’t want to do anything inappropriate. And she said, ‘It’s all kind of inappropriate, huh?’”

Dominic got even more serious about realistically depicting domestic violence in the video. “It’s the story of [Eminem and twice-ex wife Kim] getting to know each other, and it’s the story of their tumultuous relationship and it’s the story of the breakdown of their relationship,” the British-bred actor explained of the song’s premise.

“Love the Way You Lie” will be heavier than most videos for big songs of the summer, because according to Dominic, it’s the tale of two public figures greatly and recklessly in love. “We’re supposed to be desperately in love, like Sid and Nancy, John and Yoko… Eminem and Kim,” he explained. “Though I tried as hard as I could to make her laugh and have fun with her. I think we got on pretty well.”

Dominic actually got so into character that in the video’s bar scene, he instructed Megan to refer to him using the rapper’s alias: Slim! Before Dominic confronts the guy talking to Megan’s character, Megan asked Dominic what she should call him. “I said, ‘Call me Slim,’” Dominic recounted. “‘Cause that’s who I am essentially. I was playing Slim Shady and trying as hard as I could to be Slim Shady.”

Will you tune in before “Jersey Shore” tonight for “Love the Way You Lie”? Do you believe Dominic that filming love scenes isn’t all it’s cracked up to be?
