Colin Farrell Has A Little Mermaid In Our EXCLUSIVE 'Ondine' Clip

By George Loomis

The only actor we can think of who’s crossed into mermaid territory after Tom Hanks in “Splash” is Ben Stiller, and in “Zoolander," and he was more of a merman. Generally, material regarding these infamous creatures of the sea remains largely untouched by big Hollywood actors… until now. And we couldn’t be happier that if one actor had to go there next on film, it’s Colin Farrell.

Colin plays Syracuse, “a very handsome fisherman” who finds a girl (Alicja Bachleda) in his net while fishing in the sea (stranger things have happened!). In our EXCLUSIVE featurette below, Director Neil Jordan promises more and more about the girl’s past will be revealed as the film continues: What does the presence of this strange creature mean to Syracuse, who is trying to move on from past troubles and help his sick daughter? Mermaid fanatics: check out the clip and find out how to see “Ondine” BEFORE it hits theaters!

What do you think of the “Ondine” featurette? Will you be one of the lucky viewers to see it before June? What great mermaid movies does “Ondine” bring to mind for you?
