Could this be the end of Rachel Berry's singing career, Gleeks?! From the looks of the sneak preview for tomorrow night's brand new episode of "Glee," Lea Michele's character suffers something of a setback when she loses her voice in an episode called, fittingly, "Laryngitis."
In the short clip (available on YouTube), we see Rachel shakily singing none other than Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" (she explains she chose a song about "overcoming obstacles and beating the odds" because apparently her fellow glee club members aren't pulling their weight) Well, talk about karma! Rachel, whose voice can usually move mountains, sounds more like the voice of someone in the first round of auditions for "American Idol"!
We don't know what's funnier, hearing Rachel's impeccable voice gone terribly awry or the reactions of her "Glee"-mates (we loved Artie's and Brittany's in particular).
While Rachel struggles to get her voice back, other rumored tunes which (most likely) won't be butchered on tomorrow night's episode include U2's classic "One," the 90's R&B smash single "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy and Monica, as well as "Rose's Turn" from the musical "Gypsy" to be sung by Chris Colfer, who told us singing that tune in particular was the "Most fun I’ve ever had performing in the series."
What do you think of Rachel's "Climb"? What about the idea that a Miley Cyrus tune will be heard on "Glee"?
