Miley Cyrus' ever loyal fan base need not worry about allegations their teen super star is taking a break from music. With her latest album, Can’t Be Tamed, dropping on June 22nd, filming this summer for an upcoming film ("LOL" with Demi Moore), and the final season of "“Hannah Montana" on its way, it's obvious this superstar has plenty up her sleeve for the future. "I think my fans will be excited to know they've got more to look forward to," Miley told MTV News.
Miley sat down with us to discuss her most provocative project yet — her latest video for the album's title track — and what her parents' reaction was. "My mom was on set, and my dad loves it,” she said of the video. "I think my dad was thinking I was a little crazy as I was writing it. They were so proud of the treatment I came up with."
Though Miley announced she's taking a break from music after her new album debuts (to focus on acting), she doesn’t plan to abandon it all together. "I think [my fans have] a lot to look forward to in music as well," she said.
As far as the most recent glimpse into that music that we've gotten — the aforementioned "Tamed" video — the teen queen is insistent that it really reflects her as an artists. "I think it definitely shows a change of what people remember me as, but it's not trying to not be me," she explained. "I didn't want to be just a character."
Are you excited to see what's next for Miley? Are you planning to buy her album come June 22?
