Gael Garcia Bernal Answers Our 'Letters' As Our Cinco De Mayo Hump Day Hottie

It's fair to say that Gael Garcia Bernal is muy caliente! And so in honor of his undeniable babeness, his native country's national holiday of Cinco De Mayo and his upcoming role as the slightly clueless Victor in the adorable romantic flick, "Letters To Juliet," we here at Hollywood Crush decided to make Senor Garcia Bernal this week's Hump Day Hottie.

Press play on the video below to see more of Gael, and then keep reading for more details about him!

Vital Stats: Gael, 31, was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and he began acting at a very early age. He was an infant when he began starring in telenovelas, which he starred in right through his teens. Also, Gael is a bit of a do-gooder. He taught Huichol Indians how to read and he has a political side having been involved in the peaceful demonstrations during the Chiapas uprising in 1994. He's a dad to his son Lázaro, who he had with fellow thespian Dolores Fonzi.

But perhaps his greatest accomplishment, in our humble opinion, is being this week's Hump Day Hottie. "For this week? Sh** only this week? Am I going to get to reap the benefits of that?" he said about the honor. "For a week… I need more than a week, but that's fine!"

So, what does he look for in a lady? "I'm very easy. I'm very very easy. I guess just have fun. But I don’t what clues to give," he said.

Where you might have already seen him: Although Gael, who is also a director, had been well known in Latin America for quite a while, he caught American audience's attentions playing alongside his pal Diego Luna in "Y tu mamá también." Quickly, his international star began to rise and he's starred in everything from Hollywood flicks like "Babel" to smaller films like "Rudo y Cursi."

Why you should take notice of him now: He'll certainly have girls glued to the screen on May 14 when they go to see him, alongside Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Redgrave and Christopher Egan in the rom-com "Letters To Juliet." The film takes place in the uber-romantic city of Verona and Gael plays clueless love interest, Victor, to Amanda's Sophie. Next up, he'll star in the celeb-filled flick, "Earthbound," as well as Christopher Columbus biopic, "También la lluvia."

Until next week, when we chose another Hump Day Hottie, you can salute Gael by pressing play on the video above!
