Gwyneth Paltrow is one of those actresses that we just love seeing as a mom. So when MTV News' Josh Horowitz sat down with her to talk "Iron Man 2," he just had to ask if her daughter Apple has caught any of her movies yet.
Despite the fact that the little darling is a big fan of watching movies, Gwyneth admitted that she hadn't seen any of her mommy's yet, so she and Josh decided to brainstorm which of her films her 6-year-old daughter should watch first. The resulting video is both hilarious and a little disturbing. Check it out after the jump, along with our suggestions for the Gwyneth Paltrow movie Apple should watch first!
After joking that she's not the most family-friendly actress, Gwyneth suggested her film "Emma," which is an adaptation of the popular Jane Austen novel. Both Josh and Gwyneth agreed that "'Emma's' sweet," but it was when Gwyneth suggested her Jack Black comedy "Shallow Hal" as another option that things got ugly.
"Really?" Josh said with a laugh. "You are not a good mother."
To that, Gwyneth went to the extreme, exclaiming, "'Se7en'! That's what I'll show them [Apple and 4-year-old Moses]. 'Se7en.' Perfect."
"Yeah, because kids love seeing their mom's head in a box," Josh tossed back with a laugh, commenting on Gwyneth's character's unfortunate demise in the Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman drama.
We're questioning why they both missed the obvious choice: "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow." Sure, it's a little on the nerdy side, but the film is rated a very family-friendly PG. "Emma" also would be a solid choice (also rated PG), or the not-so-great 2003 comedy "View from the Top," though that is rated PG-13. "Se7en," though that could probably be a traumatic experience for Apple and Moses at any age.
