Ah, Blair Waldorf. With your meddlesome ways, your enviable clothing style and your signature ruthlessness, it's not always easy wishing you positivity. But then we remember how beautiful, hilarious and occasionally endearing you are — not to mention the fact that you're not real, of course — causing us to send good wishes to your real life counterpart Leighton Meester, instead.
And believe us, there's plenty of reason to think about Leighton today, as the young actress turns 24 years old! As is the Birthday Bash custom, we here at Hollywood Crush are wishing her a happy one with a trip down memory lane!
While Leighton is best known for her turn as Blair Waldorf on "Gossip Girl," it's far from the only role she has under her belt. The actress was recently cast in "Monte Carlo," a Fox 2000 comedy focusing on two college students and a recent high school graduate posing as wealthy women during a trip to Monaco. Last year, she landed a part opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in "Love Don't Let Me Down," a new country film featuring singer Tim McGraw and "Eragon" actor Garrett Hedlund.
But Leighton isn't just an actress. The freshly minted 24 year-old is also a singer, having signed a recording contract with Universal Republic in April of last year. Her first album Love Is A Drug has yet to drop, but two singles from the album — the title track and "Somebody to Love" featuring Robin Thicke — have already hit the airwaves.
For Leighton's birthday, we're wishing her plenty of luck in her future screen endeavors and her blossoming music career — but what are you wishing for the "Gossip Girl" actress? Send your birthday wishes in the comments section and on Twitter!
