Something must be in the water these stars are drinking and whatever it is, can we have it? Valentines Day may be over but that doesn’t mean these celebs have stopped celebrating love. 2010 is barely on its way and already Hollywood Crush has reported on multiple celebrity engagements. So if you are lagging behind, here is your chance to play catch-up before your favorite star heads down the aisle to say, “I do!”
HILARY DUFF AND MIKE COMRIE
As it turns out, our first star Hilary Duff will have her very own “Cinderella Story.” The 22-year-old actress managed to snag herself a prince charming, NHL player Mike Comrie. The two have been dating for two years and while on vacation in Maui (February 18th), Mike scored [off the rink] when he asked Hilary to marry him and she said yes, and that isn’t just me being a [gossip girl].
DAVE ANNABEL AND ODETTE YUSTMAN
Looks like ABC’s “Brothers and Sisters” star Dave Annabel is following in his characters’ footsteps and heading straight for the aisle. Dave proposed to his girlfriend, actress Odette Yustman, in Santa Monica February 12th. Odette, who is also no stranger to ABC (she starred in the short-lived “October Road”) began dating Dave after his romance with his onscreen wife (Emily VanCamp) ended. Justin Walker and Rebecca’s wedding might have hit some rough waters however we hope for nothing more than smooth sailing for Dave and Odette’s engagement.
NICOLE RICHIE AND JOEL MADDEN
Leave it to twitter to tell the world you are tying the knot! Just last week, Joel Madden tweeted that he is in fact engaged to his baby mama of two (Harlow and Sparrow), Nicole Richie. Joel however removed his tweet because his wife-to-be intended to announce their engagement on “The Late Show with David Letterman” February 19th. Either way, it is about time these two say their vows!
LEVEN RAMBIN AND GEOFF CLARK
Looks like McSteamy’s daughter, “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Leven Rambin, 19, found herself a McHusband, well at least fiancé. Film producer Geoff Clark, 28, proposed to Leven while the two were walking along the beach in the Bahamas on New Years, just six months after the couple started dating. In an interview with People, Leven stated, “Little did Geoff know that I was praying for him to propose…” Well Leven, your prayers have been answered, may your wedding be heavenly.
KRISTEN BELL AND DAX SHEPARD
Dax Shepard may have not gotten the girl (Kristen Bell) in his recent comedy, “When in Rome,” however when in the real world, the same cannot be said. This year at the Grammys, Kristen arrived on the red carpet and what, may you ask, was she wearing? Well for one thing, she showed off her hot new accessory, a dazzling engagement ring given to her by fiancé Dax. The couple, who have publicly been dating since January 2008, got engaged over this past holiday season.
TARA REID AND MICHAEL AXTMANN
“American Pie” actress Tara Reid may not have been invited to “American Wedding,” but all is well and good because now she can have her very own! While out to dinner January 18th at The Little Door restaurant in Los Angeles, Tara’s boyfriend, Michael Axtmann, popped the question. The pair began dating last year and the actress’s rep told People, “Tara was so happy, and the other patrons clapped and yelled out, ‘Congratulations.’” Ditto to that Tara!
MICHAEL BUBLE AND LUISANA LORELEY LOPILATO DE LA TORRE
Sorry ladies, but it looks like you are going to have to find someone else to sing beautiful songs about you because this one is taken. Michael Buble has found his “Everything” and her name is Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre. Michael proposed to the Argentinean actress in front of her family in November, but these two longtime lovers didn’t go public with their engagement until early January.
KATY PERRY AND RUSSELL BRAND
Who needs the Millionaire matchmaker when you have MTV? Our next star-studded duo can thank MTV for their budding romance. Pop singer/songwriter Katy Perry and Brit comic Russell Brand made their connection during MTV’s 2009 VMA Awards. After receiving permission from Katy’s parents, Russell proposed to Katy in early January while on vacation in India. I think it is safe to say Katy kissed Russell and she liked it!
JANA KRAMER AND JOHNATHON SCHAECH
They do say the best things come in small packages and this past Christmas “One Tree Hill” star Jana Kramer received an early present — an engagement ring! — from her boyfriend, actor Johnathon Schaech. The two met while filming the 2008 horror flick, “Prom Night.” Onscreen we did not want Johnathon to get the girl, however we are happy he walked away with one in real life.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD AND MIKE FISHER
Country music superstar Carrie Underwood melted the heart of her NHL ice hockey hunk, Mike Fisher. The pair has been dating for a year and was one of the first to ring in 2010 with wedding bells. Carrie certainly seems to have found her “Cowboy Casanova.”
JOHN KRASINSKI AND EMILY BLUNT
Audiences couldn’t wait till “The Office” wedding of Jim and Pam, but now that it’s over we can focus on John Krasinski’s real life relationship with “Wolfman” star Emily Blunt. John and Emily began dating in 2008 and at the end of August 2009, the two got engaged. This might sound like news from the past, however we still have a wedding to look forward to in the future!
Well it sure seems like it is the year for love, and like we said, it’s only February!
