Hilary Duff And Hockey Player Mike Comrie Are Engaged!

Congratulations are in order for a happy couple the second time in a one week period: Hilary Duff is reported to be engaged to her NHL boyfriend of two years, Mike Comrie.

The two got engaged Thursday night while they were on a vacation in Maui, according to E! News. Bauer Griffin Online has exclusive photos that look to be of the exact moment when Mike popped the question on what seems to be their hotel balcony.

The engagement between the 22-year-old actress and 29-year-old Edmonton Oilers star player comes only six days after Hilary's ex Joel Madden announced his engagement to long-time girlfriend Nicole Richie. We aren't trying to imply either are related, but we're glad to see love is remaining in the air the week after Valentine's Day.

There's no word yet on a wedding date for Hilary and Mike, but we're willing to give them more than 24 hours to work out the finer details of their engagement. This news comes just over a month after we included the two in our round-up of some of the happy celeb/athlete couples out there, and we're glad to be able to add them to the "engaged" portion of the list. Note: that portion also includes Carrie Underwood and her hockey player beau (also named Mike!), Mike Fisher.

This could be seen as an early birthday present (or, uh, lack their of) to Hilary's sister Haylie, who is celebrating her 25th birthday today. We're sure she forgives her baby sister for stealing some of her well-wishes, but we've got enough for the both of them. Happy birthday Haylie, and a very, very happy future to both Hilary and Mike!
