Friday night's "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon brought together some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Some like Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper and Vanessa Hudgens, took to the phones to accept donations. While, other participants like George Clooney (one of the driving forces behind the event) and Robert Pattinson, who talked about the importance of technology during a crisis, shared stories from the aftermath of the earthquake. Then, of course, there were the performances. Singers like Jay-Z, Madonna and Beyonce took to the stage, some with surprising duets and covers. Needless to say, the night had its share of memorable moments. We share a few of our favorite highlights below.
It's not often you see Hollywood's leading ladies working side by side to answer phone calls. So it should come as no surprise, that we're absolutely in love with this picture of supermodel Cindy Crawford and actresses Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore and Julia Roberts banding together at the "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon. Oh, and if you're wondering why Drew's got a clipboard on her, she told MTV News' Sway during the MTV post-show that it was because Clooney asked her to be an assistant director at the event.
Justin Timberlake was one of the many artists at the "Hope for Haiti Now" benefit who took to the mic Friday night. He performed a powerful cover of Leonard Cohen's song "Hallelujah," which he said was fitting for the telethon during a post-show interview. He sang alongside Matt Morris, a former Mickey Mouse club member, who Justin recently signed to his label (we've got a feeling we're going to be hearing a lot more from him!). Meanwhile, "Star Trek" actor Chris Pine manned the phone bank, answering calls from people who were interested in donating to the cause.
