'Vampire Diaries' Star Steven R. McQueen Transforms Into Our Hump Day Hottie

"Vampire Diaries" seems to be the home of all things sexy. Former Hump Day Hottie's Ian Somerholder and Paul Wesley have charmed us. And with the show returning tomorrow night (!), it seems fitting to pay homage to another babe from Mystic Falls — none other than rehabbed rebel, Jeremy (or as he likes to be called in real life: Steven R. McQueen). We suspect his life is about to get even more interesting as the season progresses, so we figured it was a good time to catch up with the cutie.

Press play on the video below to see more of Steven, and then keep reading for more details about him.

Vital Stats: Steven R. McQueen's name may sound familiar ... paging Hollywood legend Steve McQueen! Well, it's because McQueen is Steven's grandfather. It may explain where he gets his good looks from. The 21-year-old grew up in sunny Los Angeles and with the honor of being this week's Hump Day Hottie, he's now keeping the McQueen legacy alive.

"I feel very flattered to be Hump Day Hottie," he told Hollywood Crush, adding, "I'm actually newly single for the new year. I've always been attracted to the 'don't follow the rules' type of girl, the rocker girl. I've always been attracted to somebody who you can lose yourself in the moment with. You can hang out with her and it's like you're the only two people in the room." We kind of love a rebel ourselves!

Where you might have already seen him: He's bounced around TV with small roles on shows like "Without a Trace," "CSI: Miami" and "Everwood." But, he managed to captured HC's eye on "Vampire Diaries." He plays Elena's (Nina Dobrev) once-troubled brother, Jeremy, who is getting back on the straight and narrow. He's now ready to delve back into love and even perhaps realize his own supernatural potential.

"I know in the books, Tyler was the werewolf," he replied to our inquisition about whether or not his character may also become a shapeshifter. "From script to script, we don't really know too much ahead of time, but we did hear they might change that up. We're not 100 percent sure on how that's shaping to unfold itself."

Why you should take notice of him now: His life might get hairy on "Vampire Diaries," and he's also getting ready to hit the big screen in a big time way with "Piranha 3-D." In the horror movie (out April 16), he stars alongside fellow CW star and "Gossip Girl" Jessica Szohr as well as Elizabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, former HDH Cody Longo, Eli Roth and Christopher Lloyd.

Until next Wednesday, when we nominate yet another Hump Day Hottie, you can gawk at Steven and the rest of our past HDH's by clicking on his photo below!
