It looks like New Jersey is gearing to film yet another mind-blowing reality show. No, it’s not the second season of MTV's "Jersey Shore" (yet!), this time the Oxygen network is taking a stab at pimping The Garden State with a serving of “Jersey Couture.”
The new fashion-based series will be about the Diane & Co. dress shop (we found the company's site if you're interested in a sneak peek), run by Diane Scali and her family. "From canary yellow beaded sheaths to gold lamé, the Scali family offers over-the-top dresses to satisfy every girl's special event needs," the network noted in a press release. Um, wow?
"Jersey Couture," the release continued, will be centered around "the ultimate dress-up show where running the family business means having a flair for fashion, accessories and the right undergarments." The new series will join Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” and the Style network’s upcoming “Jerseylicious” in a fast-growing trend of Jersey-based reality television.
“With a no nonsense attitude, the Scali family's extravagant dress store is the premiere glamour stop in New Jersey," describes Oxygen. "Get ready for the Cinderella experience of a lifetime. Whether it's for her bride's maid's needs or her high school prom frills, when it comes to ‘what to wear' to that elegant affair, no one gets the job done like the ladies at Diane & Co."
So, who’s doing the hair? We all know that beaded sheaths and gold lame is not complete without a poof. Perhaps Snooki can clear her calendar to teach the ladies a thing or two?
Will you be giving "Jersey Couture" a fist pump when it premieres?
