Carrie Underwood Takes The Wheel As A Love Interest For Ted On 'How I Met Your Mother'

By Aly Semigran

Get ready for some legen — wait for it — dary casting news, "How I Met Your Mother" fans! According to People.com country superstar Carrie Underwood will appear in an upcoming episode as Tiffany, a love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor).

But, will she be the "Mother"? For weeks there has been speculation that fellow upcoming guest star, Rachel Bilson could, in fact, be the answer to TV's sweetest mystery. While we doubt Miss Underwood will be the future Mrs. Mosby (the singer is only set for one episode, plus she's awfully busy planning her real-life nuptials to Mike Fisher) it will be fun to catch the "American Idol" champ in her acting debut. Would it be too much to ask for a Carrie Underwood/Robin Sparkles duet?

Of course, this isn't the first time a pop star has guest starred on "HIMYM", as Carrie joins Britney Spears and Mandy Moore as Ted Mosby's ultimately failed romances.

What do you think of this casting, Crushers? Will Underwood's Tiffany help get Ted one step closer to meeting his bride? Who is your favorite "HIMYM" guest star?
