Newly Engaged Katy Perry Says First Kiss With Russell Brand Made Her 'Hop Like A Bunny'

According to the just-engaged Katy Perry, her now-fiance, British comedian Russell Brand, gives her the "Christmas Eve jitters." Don't know what she means? She explains in the latest issue of Glamour, on sale next Tuesday: "That feeling you had as a child. You’re wiggling your feet underneath the covers because something exciting is going to happen tomorrow."

In the wake of their engagement news, that gets a big awww from Hollywood Crush. Though Katy's cover story interview happened before Rusty popped the question (no magazine staff could possibly be that psychic, right?), Katy gave the magazine a lot of good details about her relationship and what she looks for in a man.

Although we'd love to believe that Katy's MTV Video Music Awards serenade was the moment they fell in love, she told Glamour that they actually met over the summer. "When he was filming 'Get Him to the Greek' [reprising his 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' role of rocker Aldous Snow], I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy—I get a bit childlike."

When asked what Russell has that other guys don't, Katy told Glamour that it's his vocabulary. "He could slay anybody with the things that he says. He doesn’t even need his fists." Though she wasn't talking about Russell specifically when she said the best thing about men is "their sense of humor. I like a goofy guy," it's pretty obvious that the comedian fits the bill.

Russell's influence even showed when Katy talked about non-man-related things (it is "Glamour"'s Man Issue, after all) — she used British slang when talking about the real story behind her hit "I Kissed a Girl." "I didn’t want it to turn into this 'Girls Gone Wild' song," she said. "I had been through the experience—many times—[but] didn’t want to get specific. I didn’t want guys to be wanking off. For me, it was a song about the magic and mystery of a woman that makes every man—and some women—get on their knees."

We're sure Russell's pretty happy that Katy said yes to his proposal, especially since she doesn't play it safe when it comes to love. "One time I said 'I love you' in skywriting," she told the mag. "I go for it! It was worth every penny."

What do you think about Katy's interview? Isn't it cute how her dedication to Russell shows in all of her answers, not just the ones about him? Are you excited for the happy couple now that they've made it official?
