Taylor Lautner To Become Highest-Paid Teen Actor For Flick 'Northern Lights'

"New Moon" star Taylor Lautner has been scooping up nominations in the breakout male actor category faster than a shapeshifter can down a muffin. Tonight he'll have another chance to add to his growing awards mantel at the People's Choice Awards (we're live blogging that red carpet, so check back with us tonight!), but statuettes aren't the only gauge of Taylor's rising fame fever—so is his ever-growing paycheck.

Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Taylor's newest project, the flick "Northern Lights," will garner the 17-year-old a $7.5 million paycheck, making him the highest paid teen in Hollywood. That's right, not even Disney darlings Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron have commanded such a steep fee for a single film.

The movie, which centers on "four young pilots as they compete against the world’s best" seems to play to Taylor's strengths: flexing his physicality and wooing women (just how we like him!). With a slew of projects in various stages of production, from "Breaking Dawn" to "Max Steel" and the recently announced "Cancun," the "Twilight" star is poised to have a more lucrative career than many of the industry's 40-year-olds.

What do you think about Taylor's big payday?
