'True Blood' Season 3 Love Fest Continues With A New 'Southland' Boyfriend For Lafayette

While Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård), Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), her dimwitted brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and her best friend Tara (Rutina Welsey) are all getting their love on in the upcoming third season of "True Blood," they aren't the only characters with new romantic interests on the way.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, everybody's favorite cross-dressing short order cook Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) is the latest to find love on "True Blood." The foul-mouthed antihero and occasional drug pusher is set to fall for Jesus, a young Latino orderly played by "Southland" star Kevin Alejandro.

In "True Blood," Jesus is an orderly that is taking care of Lafayette's mother Ruby Jean, who will be played by the previously confirmed Alfre Woodard.

Alejandro is expected to appear in "almost every episode" of the third season of "True Blood," but the actor will still maintain his job as a series regular on "Southland." Thanks to the show's recent move from NBC to TNT, shooting on "Southland" is currently on hold, affording Alejandro with enough availability to head to Bon Tempes for season three of the HBO vampire series.

Of course, the upcoming relationship between Lafayette and Jesus is just one of many romantic flings on the way for season three of "True Blood." It was previously announced that Eric will have a relationship with one of his human employees, while Sookie will forge an electric connection with a werewolf named Alcide (Joe Manganiello). Jason is set to fall for the mysterious Crystal (Lindsay Pulsipher), while Tara will find some vampire loving of her own in the form of Franklin Mott (James Frain).

All in all, it sounds like the third season of "True Blood" is going to be a regular old love fest, don't you think?
