Taylor Lautner To Take His Wolf-Like Moves To 'Cancun' For A New Action Flick

Pack your bags, Team Jacob fans. We're taking a little vacay to Mexico. Just weeks after news surfaced that "New Moon" star Taylor Lautner will likely don Max Steel's superhero tights, comes word of another action-packed casting for the actor. The 17-year-old has been tapped for the thriller "Cancun."

Billed by Variety as a "teenaged 'Taken' meets 'Die Hard,'" the flick centers around Taylor's college student character, who while on spring break in Cancun, must rescue his kidnapped friends from a drug cartel leader. The flick will give the former extreme martial arts champ the opportunity to show of his fighting skills — and that finely shredded body of his.

"Cancun" is being released by his "Twilight" studio Summit Entertainment and produced under he and his father's new company Tailor Made Entertainment (nice play on words there boys!). Production is slated for June so as not to conflict with the potential start date of late 2010 for "Breaking Dawn." With the final chapters of the "Twilight Saga," "Max Steel" and now "Cancun" on Taylor's plate, 2010 is shaping up to be quite the action-heavy year for the rising star.

What do you think about Taylor's latest project "Cancun"?
