Whether you're a baseball fan or not, it's pretty hard to escape the coverage of this year's World Series featuring the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies (the "Glee"-shaped hole in my DVR lineup is particularly telling). And now, even one of our favorite "Twilight" stars is playing ball... sorta.
While on a publicity blitz in Japan for the November 20 premiere of "New Moon," Robert Pattinson was spotted wearing his go-to hat, a blue New York Yankees cap. That must mean he's rooting for the Bronx Bombers, right? Right? We have a feeling his "love" for the team probably stemmed from the time he spent in NYC filming his upcoming drama "Remember Me." It was on the set of the Emilie de Ravin-Pierce Brosnan flick that Rob was first seen wearing his now-signature lid. Perhaps Rob's fashion choice has been a good-luck talisman for the Big Apple team seeing that they lead the series 3 to 2.
One thing Yankees and Phillies fans can all agree on (we hope!) is that the premiere of "New Moon" can't come soon enough. We'll leave you with the third (and latest) TV spot for the sequel called "Never Hurt You," featuring Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and the wolf pack. Two more weeks!
Do you agree that Rob is likely a Yankees fan? What do you think about the newest TV spot for "New Moon"?
