Spotted: Robert Pattinson At Tokyo Press Conference & Carrie Underwood At 'Letterman'

By Nuzhat Naoreen

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Brooding "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson was Spotted! at a press conference in Tokyo, sans costar and "friend," Kristen Stewart (she was doing her thing in Brazil). RPattz, who looked sharp in a dark suit and button-down shirt, was there along with director Chris Weitz, to promote "New Moon," which opens worldwide in exactly 17 days (we know you knew that, but we just like seeing the number keep getting smaller!). The British actor arrived at Japan's Narita airport yesterday, with bags and guitar in hand, to much fanfare, and happily signed autographs.

To see more pictures of Rob taking over Tokyo, including some very charming close-ups, and to find out what the rest of the "Twilight" cast has been up to, check out our collection of photos from the "New Moon" premieres around the world. After the jump, however, find out where we saw Carrie Underwood heading.

Country singer, Carrie Underwood was Spotted! waving to the cameras on her way to the set of "Late Show with David Letterman," in New York yesterday. The ex-"American Idol" star, who was dressed in a casual gold embroidered blouse, went on Letterman to perform her sassy new single "Cowboy Casanova," (which, might just be our new girl power jam!), from her album Play On, which was released today.

Check out who else MTV Spotted!, including Russell Brand at an awards show, Britney Spears at the airport and more!
