World Premiere 'New Moon' Footage To Air At Spike's Scream Awards

We'll admit we're not the ideal viewers of man channel Spike, but with all the undead action they have planned for their 2009 Scream Awards (airing Tuesday, October 27 at 10 p.m.), we're willing to change channels for the bloody event.

In addition to two of our favorite vampire franchises—HBO's "True Blood" and Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight"—being nominated in several categories (we already wondered who would win a fang-off between Alexander Skarsgård and Cam Gigandet, both nominated for best villain), there's some even bigger news. The awards ceremony will feature world premiere footage of "New Moon" less than a month before its November 20 opening!

A press release from Spike also noted that "cast" will be on hand for the event. I wonder which vampires, werewolves and the humans — besides Taylor Lautner, who was already confirmed — will sneak away from the "Eclipse" set to grace the Greek Theatre stage in L.A.? I'll keep a super-close watch over all those official "Twilight" Twitter accounts to see if I can sniff out any clues for you, Crushers!

In the meantime, check out the promo clip below for Spike's 2009 Scream Awards.
