This week, the celebration is on for the newest and possibly craziest addition to “Melrose Place,” one of the cinema’s biggest (but funniest) jerks and “Iron Man’s” main squeeze.
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz (October 3): Surrounded by a circle of famous and talented musicians like sister Jessica and husband Pete Wentz, it’s no wonder that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz herself has experienced some success of her own. Between her singing career and her burgeoning acting career, Ashlee is undoubtedly as well-known as her rockstar husband and pop-singing sibling.
If nothing else, Ashlee’s role on the new “Melrose Place” should distinguish her enough. She plays Violet, the possible daughter of twice-deceased Sydney Andrews, with at least a few screws loose in the ol’ noggin. It’s a fun change of pace for the singer-actress, and one we can’t wait to watch unfold over the course of the season.
Throughout his career, Seann has tinkered with his all-too-successful formula to create more emotionally accessible characters like Wheeler in “Role Models.” Still, there’s a lot to be said for his more juvenile performances and one-off cameos, like his hillbilly tranquilizer expert in “Old School.” To quote Seann himself: that was awesome!
On film, Gwyneth has had plenty of achievements, including her Oscar-winning turn in “Shakespeare in Love” and her recent crossover into the superhero world with “Iron Man” and its upcoming sequel, which will hopefully feature the actress in a more action-heavy role — she certainly kicks enough butt to warrant the upgrade!
