The Cast of 'Fame': We've Got Our Eyes On The Talented Students In This Week's Star Gazing

After this week, you're for sure going to remember their names. In case you missed the memo (maybe a singing telegram would have been more apropos?) it's "Fame" week here at Hollywood Crush. As we gear up for the raucous remake of the '80s classic (which opens Friday), we've made the talented, photogenic, cool (and apparently overachieving) cast members of the musical flick the focus of this week's "Star Gazing."

Click on the photo below to see more cast shots and read on to learn all the deets you need to know about the students of the New York City High School for Performing Arts.

Read on for more "Fame" after the jump.

Before they were "Fame"-ous: No doubt you've seen a few of the faces of "Fame" before. Kherington Payne was a contestant on the fourth season of "So You Think You Can Dance." Naturi Naughton (who sings the titular tune) was a member of the all-girl singing group 3LW and recently appeared as Lil' Kim in the biopic "Notorious." Asher Book is also a member of a singing group, the boy band V Factory, while Kay Panabaker spent two seasons on the beach as Nikki Westerly on The WB series "Summerland."

They're easy on the eyes: Cody Longo, who plays hunky Andy Matthews in the movie, was one of our "Hump Day Hotties" back in August. And rightfully so!

It's not all acting: "We’ve all sort of lived this," Paul Iacono, who plays aspiring film director Neil, told MTV News. In fact, both he and Asher attended the New York School for Performing Arts. "We’re all young, aspiring actors and ['Fame'] is our big break. This is going to set the standard for the modern-day musical — and we’re very aware of that."

Are you excited to see "Fame"?
