Spotted: Jessica Simpson Dressed As A Geisha & Lady Gaga Covered Up In Israel

Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Jessica Simpson got a major makeover yesterday, and no it wasn't one for her future (non) stint on "American Idol." During the filming of her new VH1 reality series, "The Price Of Beauty," in Japan, Jessica — along with her pal/ maybe costar Cacee Cobb and hairstylist Ken Paves — dressed up in traditional geisha garb (black hair, wooden sandals, white makeup and all!) and took to the streets in a silk kimono that, according to Hello magazine, "costs upwards of $10,000." That certainly sounds pricey, but we're sure the fashionista enjoyed every moment of being adorned in such opulent clothing!

Over in Western Asia, Lady Gaga arrived in Jerusalem to tour the old city. The singer, who looked more toned down and covered up than ever, noted during a press conference on Monday that her inaugural trip to Jerusalem would be a "an emotional and spiritual experience." She's set to close out her tour with a concert in Tel Aviv tomorrow and will then head to the U.K. for the V Festival on Saturday and Sunday.
