"Jumper" co-stars and real-life couple Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson are shaping up to be quite the beauty-conscious pair. First, Rachel scored her own monthly beauty column "Ask Rachel" for InStyle magazine, and now, Hayden has been named the face of Lacoste's new fragrance, Challenge (see his full ad after the jump). "He’s young, stylish and dynamic, with a charismatic twinkle in his eye that perfectly brings to life the ethos of the new fragrance,” said Andreas Gerber, Global Marketing Director of Lacoste Fragrances.
The 28-year-old "Star Wars" actor joins the recent rash of stars fronting fashion and fragrance lines. Last week, Burberry unveiled its new ad campaign featuring 19-year-old "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson flaunting khaki trenches and sturdy totes, while Academy Award-winner Reese Witherspoon launched her first fragrance, Bloom by Reese Witherspoon, with Avon.
Starlets aren't the only ones getting in on the action. Hayden follows in a long line of scent-sophisticated stars like "The Tudors" hunk Henry Cavill (Dunhill), James Franco (Gucci) and Matthew McConaughey (Stetson), which got me wondering which other actors should grace department store fragrance counters. My vote is for the Upper East Side's hottest WASP, Nate Archibald, er, I mean Chace Crawford. Not only does the "Gossip Girl" star's clean-cut look scream, "Smell me! I smell pretty!" but his profile will likely be higher (and more bankable) after his upcoming turn on the dance floor in "Footloose."
Which actor (or actress) do you think should be the next face of fragrance?
