Barbie's had a busy week. First, Mattel announced they would be releasing Barbie and Ken versions of "Twilight"'s star-crossed lovers Bella and Edward. Now comes news the 50-year-old icon will be fashioned into the likeness of "Project Runway" host Heidi Klum. Forget mid-life crisis, it sounds like poor Barbie is having an identity crisis!
According to E! Online, the German supermodel's mini-me will be part of the Blonde Ambition collection, which already includes doppelgangers of Goldie Hawn and Marilyn Monroe, and will be in stores later this year.
This news leaves me with so many questions. Will any past "Project Runway" designers be tapped to sew some fashions for Barbie Klum? (If so, my vote is for ferosh season four winner Christian Siriano.) Will there be a Ken doll made in the likeness of husband Seal? Will the doll utter any of Heidi's catch phrases ("Auf Wiedersehen, Midge!")? When can we expect a Tyra Banks Barbie so we can stage an epic stomp off? So many questions, so few answers.
What do you think of the Heidi Klum Barbie? Which "Project Runway" contestants would you like to see design clothes for the doll?
