Snoop Dogg Just Gave Away 1,500 Turkizzles For Thanksgizzle

V inspirational, Snoop.

Everybody, go home -- Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., AKA Snoop Dogg, ephemerally known as Snoop Lion, has won Thanksgiving this year.

On Thursday (Nov. 19), the rapper gave away 1,500 free turkeys to families in Inglewood, California, which he called his "second home."

The event was nothing short of totally heartwarming. Not only did he give away tons of turkeys -- he took over 800 photos with fans and families.

"This is a very big help for not only myself, but for about a thousand people," Xiomara Payan, an Inglewood resident, told KNBC.

It's not the first time the rapper's done this. In 2014, he gave away 800 turkeys to families in the city, where his production crew is based. The AP reports that last year "the rapper asked the city what he could do to give back to the community," and that Inglewood mayor James Butts suggested a turkey giveaway.

Now, Snoop says he plans to make the turkizzle giveaway a perennial tradition. We're here for it.
