A few months ago, Rita Ora posted a few photos on Instagram that showed her kissing Roberto Cavalli’s wife and captioned one of them, “Get ready bots we might have another surprise for you @eva_cavalli.” And then? Nothing. No follow-up. No announcement. No clarification. NO CLUE. We’ve been obsessing about it ever since, because what could it all mean?!

Welp, now we know. This morning, the luxury label announced that the style-icon-status singer is the new face of Roberto’s Fall/Winter 2014 campaign. Along with the day-making news, they unveiled a few snaps from the shoot and whoa, you guys. I mean, we already knew she could model because she’s previously posed in campaigns for Rimmel, Material Girl, and DKNY. And we already knew she could rock Roberto like no one else, because approximately 86% (rough estimate) of her wardrobe is Cavalli. (Remember when she wore that super-fancy, entirely sheer gown to Coachella? That was designed by, well, you guessed it.)

But holy smokes, we weren’t prepared for this. Under the lens of fashion photog (and occasional Beyonce video director!) Francesco Carrozzini, she looks insanely, I don’t know, ravishing? Ravishing isn’t really a word I use on the daily, but it’s the only one that seems fitting for Rita’s Marilyn Monroe-inspired Old Hollywood bob, and her slinky sequins, and her devil-may-care attitude.

Rita confirmed the collab, posting campaign photos to her Instagram. That platinum hair. Those brows. I suddenly have the inspiration to go out and buy some peroxide—anyone know why?

If you need us, we’ll be hot-rolling our hair and attempting to pull off nude lipstick as well as Rita.
