Well, this is a pleasant thing to gaze at on a Thursday morning, isn’t it? Lupita Nyong’o landed her first Vogue cover, you guys! The gorgeous and appropriately colorful shoot was done in Marrakesh, where it may be excruciatingly hot, but you’d never know because Lupita is as cool as ever. Seriously, so cool. On the cover she wears a magenta Prada dress and delicate silver jewelry and, TBH, looks totally comfortable with being on the cover of THE magazine for fashion.

The photos inside the spread, of course, are no different.

In one, Lupita bathes in a tub full of roses (not petals, like, the full flowers) and has bright orange (!!!) hair. They’re easy to miss among all the flowers, but there’s a pair of red satin Prada heels at the foot of the tub. We should’ve known Lupita bathes in style.

In another, Lupita reclines against a red velvet couch wearing a similarly printed Rodarte gown. Obviously, Lupita is the focal point of these photos, but it’s hard not to admire the gorgeous Moroccan setting. Those tiles! That fabric! It’s a lot to take in, but we like it. A lot.

The interview discusses Lupita’s flawless style, including her approach to fashion and working with Micaela Erlanger, her stylist. She showed up to their first meeting with a Pinterest board ready. I repeat, a Pinterest board. Anyone wanna get together and look for it? It’s filled with “Bold color, interesting print, interesting silhouette…” Yep, sounds just like the red carpet Lupita we’ve gotten to know over the past year.
