Beyonce Unleashes Mrs. Carter For New Wild Orchid Fragrance Campaign

Every day in Beyonce’s life is probably pretty epic, but today (June 18) was EXTRA for the superstar. Not only did she make a cameo appearance in Michelle William’s new music video, but she also released the first looks at her brand new fragrance, Heat Wild Orchid. For all you mere mortals reading today, don’t worry—if you even made it out of bed this morning, you’re still probably doing OK. It’s all relative.

Bey released the first version of Heat back in 2010, and while she’s since rolled out Heat Rush, Midnight Heat, and a limited edition version for her Mrs. Carter Show tour. You’re probably wondering: How can Heat get any different? Well, Wild Orchid is fresher, more floral side of Heat. It’s more natural. More maternal. It also evokes images of Fergie’s former girls group, which is NEVER a bad thing.

The ad itself also flaunts Beyonce’s classy and mature side. Sure, the original Heat had Bey swanned out in a red dress and bedhead hair, but this is a new age, y’all. The campaign for Heat Wild Orchid shows Mrs. Carter wearing an embellished black dress, prim chignon, and cascades of fuchsia chiffon. She’s a grown woman. She can do whatever she wants.

Heat Wild Orchid (described as an “enticing, mouth-watering fragrance that emits a fierce, feminine energy“) will hit stores this August.
